I did a large watercolor of my boyhood friend's home place. He's kept it for quite a few years now just as his parents left it. A typical Craftsman house, owner built. Howard had a rule for his boys. If they went to play in the crawl space they had to bring up a bucket of dirt. It took a while but in this way a root cellar was dug by three boys and their friends. |
