"Weedus Appalachaina"
Graphite 9" x 12"
October 2004

I had been taking one photo a week of this plant for a couple of months because I liked it's growth pattern.  Some maintenance person, without asking if I cared, whacked it down with a weedeater!  I now know it to be a native wild tobacco plant.  At the time I didn't know what it was and in honor of my Latin major daughter I just referred to it as the Appalachian Weed.
