"Spring - Back Valley Road" |
|
This is a 'gentleman's farm' on the
Back Valley road near Speedwell, Tennessee. |
|
In deference to the 'gentleman' owner, he did not ask that I create this
piece, someone else did.
It was to be a gift in return for his compassion and assistance in their
time of need. I learned a lot from this failed commission and the expectations that
may exist. |
|
I have spent years in the study of the masters of the Western world.
In the museum I require no headsets or queue cards to identify my
tutors. I spend really long hours in making my art, 60 hours at least on this
piece. To capture the atmosphere and ambience of a place, the essence of a
thing, requires as much.
Each piece is truly unique - there are no photographic 'prints' made -
no duplicate copies. |
| Uniqueness and quality have their price. It is not a craft but an art. Viva la difference. |
