Heavy duty gust locks spread wind, snow, ice, and handling loads directly to the structure rather than the control system
as "control locks" do. Neither are these "spot" locks that concentrate loads such as the disk and bolt types but feature flanges
that spread the loads. Devices that restrain the control stick or rudders do nothing to relieve the loads from the system.

Openings in the wheel wells are a major entry point for exhaust fumes in the fuselage.Wheel well opening covers
