Before I get into the lake map thing or the fishing reports I just want to say we did get some rain. Richland Chambers
Reservoir has come up over a foot the last week and is still rising. We are going to get rain just about all week.
We have
had request to carry the Top Spot Fishing Maps / Pasadena Hot Spot Fishing Maps. These maps well known to Texas Anglers a
few years ago. They are hard to find now but the only reason is that the name changed. They are still top quality fishing
maps just with a different name. They do cost a little more than the others but are well worth it. We will have them on our
site soon.
Texas Lake MapsCatfishing has been great on rods using
Danny King's Catfish Bait or shrimp with lots of limits. Most being caught in 2 to 4ft of water but some being at just about any depth. Jug and trot
lines doing good baited with live perch.
Black Bass have been good fishing shallow 2 to 6ft deep with lizards, spinner
baits and rattling baits. Some good size bass being in the 5 to 6lb range and a few up to 7lbs. Stumps and laydowns holding
the better numbers of fish.
Sand Bass have started schooling a little scattered through out the lake. Watch for the birds
and use a Rattle Trap, Tail spinner or shallow running crank bait.
Crappie scattered but starting to be caught in 14 to
25ft of water around timber suspended. Minnows working best.
Thanks, Larry&Janeen
