Richland Chambers Reservoir is now about 6 inches low. Water temp is in the low 80's and the lake is fairly clear.
Crappie
have been doing better this year than we have seen in awhile . Mainly the size is what we've been impressed with this year.
Also some fairly good numbers are being caught. Most being caught around timber in 15 to 25ft of water and suspended down
7 to 18ft. Just rembember after our first good cold front in October that's it till spring.
Black Bass have not been too
bad with a little top water action early in 2 to 4ft of water. Boat houses have been producing some good catches. The grass
is starting to come back but doesen't seem to be holding the numbers of bass it should.
Catfish are doing good on jug lines
baited with perch or shad. Some in the 20 to 25lb range. Rod & Reelers are doing good fishing windy banks with cheese
bait or shad. If no wind fish around timber in 10 to 15ft of water. The best punch bait has been
Danny King's Catfish Bait. You can pick it up in our store or order online and get free hooks for a limited time.
Sand Bass were spotty this year.
Currently there is still some surface action mainly early & late. The best catches have been on points or humps 18 to
25ft deep. Best baits have been the
Rainbow Prism Slab or the Humdinger lure.
